Robert Gomez

February 13, 1949 - April 12, 2016

Robert Gomez (67) of Upland, CA passed away on 04/12/16. Born February 13, 1949 in Houston, TX to Rosa Ortiz and Antonio Gomez, Sr., he was the first of four children. He graduated from Azusa High School, where he served as student body president, and attended Utah State University on a football scholarship. Out of college, Mr. Gomez worked for IBM then went into business for himself in the financial sector. He travelled to New York City and passed The Series 7 exam to become a stockbroker. He was a very generous person and always willing to help people in need. The last half of his career was helping people clean their credit and they were so thankful to him when they were able to purchase a home. He was a very loving man. He loved all his children and family. Above all else, Mr. Gomez was a great teacher. He is survived by his wife, Paula Gomez (Steckman); three siblings: Rosemary Rubalcava, Anthony Gomez, Jr., and George Gomez; his children: sons, Ronald Gomez (Beth), and Ryan Gomez; his daughters, Deborah Parks (Lance), Christie Bittner (Brandon), Natalie Gomez, Taylor Allred, Madison Allred and 11 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Gomez. A memorial service will be held at 12p.m., Friday, April 22nd, at Memory Garden Memorial Park & Mortuary, 455 W. Central, Brea, CA. Viewing will be at the same location from 11am-11:45a.m.
