Randall W. Scott Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Randall William Scott, computer engineer, surgical tech, caretaker, and long-time resident of Placentia, CA, died on January 19, 2022, at the age of 56 after battling “covid pneumonia”. Randall is survived by his father, Richard S. Scott, and his brothers Richard and Steve. He is predeceased by his mother, Gloria E. Scott, and his grandmother Marie N. Paulsen. Randall was born in Encino on April 2, 1965 to Richard and Gloria Scott. He attained the rank of Eagle scout with troop 723, graduated from El Dorado High School in 1983, graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology with an AAS in Electronics & Computer Technology, and then at SCE School of Continuing Education, SEA College of Business & Technology, Newbridge College, and Saddleback College, he earned multiple certificates and diplomas in the fields of computer engineering and healthcare, and continued to pursue a degree in human services. Over many years Randy dedicated himself to taking care of his aging father, while maintaining ambitions and focusing on his goals in life. Randy loved his family, friends and had an impact on everyone he met. Randy’s contagious smile and unselfish heart touched us all. Randy had many interests including target shooting, gun rights, bicycling, working out, sci-fi, action and martial arts movies and shows, SUSHI, playing pool, and travel. Randy also loved his little cat Buddy. Randy will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. A viewing is scheduled from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on February 4th at Memory Garden Memorial Park in Brea, and a funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 PM on February 5th in the chapel.
