Rafael A. Montes of Los Angeles, passed away on June 8, 2022, at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, CA. He died suddenly, of complications of Liver Cirrhosis. He was 58 years old. Rafael is survived by his Wife, Martha Montes, Son, Rafael A. Montes, Jr., Daughters, Cecilia Montes (Eric), Elissa Higgins (Kee Hyon). His Mother, Lidia Lopez, older sister, Isabel Montes &younger sister, Carmen Montes. His Father & Mother-in-Law, Fabian & Maria Reyes, Sister-in-Law, Elva Reyes, 2 Brother-in-Law’s, Fabian Reyes, Jr. & Andres Reyes. Five nieces and 1 nephew and is predeceased by his father, Santiago Montes. Rafael was born on February 20, 1964, in the city of Santa Tecla, El Salvador, he immigrated to the United States in 1981 at the age of 17& lived in Los Angeles until his sudden death. He met his wife, Martha in Eagle, CA & had 3 beautiful children. Rafael was a funny, hard-working man that loved life & loved his children, family & friends. He was a one-of-a-kind great man; music lover & could recite scenes from many movies at any given time. He loved his dog Stitch & his pet turtle. Rafael was the life of the party, always the one to bring the music to liven things up! Rafael was loved by many & will be greatly missed but never forgotten, as he touched many people’s hearts with his humbleness & respect, he showed unto everyone he met & knew.
