Mom... Our Rose &#55356;� As I sit in MOM‘s blue chair, in her tranquil beautiful room, the room in which Our Lord is adorned and His Blessed Mother is reverenced, holding the pearl rosary that she held, with the St. Michael & Sacred Heart candles she lit... in the chair that she sat in each day and prayed the daily rosary, I ask for the intercession of Our Lord and the Holy Spirit to guide my hand, my thoughts and my heart, as I write these words about our Mother, RoseMarie. RoseMarie Jandera Smith passed away peacefully in her home with her family at her bedside, on the Feast Day of the Transfiguration of Our Lord, and two days before the Assumption of Our Lady. She departed with a holy Catholic death, as her soul was escorted to Eternity, at the precise exact hour and moment that God chose perfect for her. She died as Christ died... without medication and with Grace. She lived with strength and elegance, and died with strength and elegance. She taught us the importance of perfection... and that is what she found in her traditional Catholic faith. She taught us the way to live by the way she died ... with elegance, strength, perseverance, beauty and grace. ~~~ RoseMarie Jandera Smith was born on October 28, 1932 of Czechoslovakian descent to Agnes Cihak and George Jandera in Jackson, Minnesota, where she was raised on the family farm in Lakefield, Minnesota. She attended the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis and worked at General Mills in Minneapolis, Minnesota. RoseMarie was a receptionist at Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier Park, Montana until her venture to California in the 1950s. There she became a flight attendant/stewardess for Western Airlines for several years, before marrying Gordon E. Smith, Sr. and starting her family. She raised six children, three boys and three girls ...Kellie, Jim, Toby, Doug, Taunya and Jorganne. She later resumed her business career and worked at several colleges in Southern California as an Admissions Counselor and Assistant to the Director at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, Cleveland College of Chiropractic and SouthBaylo University. ~~~ RoseMarie has a love for Our Lord, His Blessed Mother, fashion, financial integrity and her Traditional Roman Catholic Faith. She has a devotion to daily rosary, Mass and prayer. She has meticulous attention to detail. She was an advocate for the unborn, and a patriotic conservative Republican. RoseMarie has an excellent sense of style and decour... with a love of lace, pearls, roses, flowers, hummingbirds, fine cuisine and travel. She is laid to rest in the beautiful blue dress, the color of the Blessed Mother, that she loved so much. The dress of her beloved sister, Mary Ann, who was as Mom said "so very special!" She is also resting peacefully wearing the birthstone ring of the names of her six children, who she prayed for daily, along with her 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She attended daily Mass, up until her passing, at Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church in Garden Grove California. In every religious book she ever read, and in every prayer she ever said, her death was her traditional Catholic faith in action, with God saying "Job well done my beautiful and faithful servant." May you rest in peace MOM ...In your beautiful blue dress, holding your rosary and wearing your ring... as you intercede and watch over us all. May we hear your whisper from Heaven, in every hummingbird we see, in each prayer we ever say, and in each windchime we ever hear. We love you Mom!
