June Irene Becker

June Becker passed away peacefully April 9, 2015 at her home in Anaheim. She was born August 30, 1923 in Briggsdale, CO. She was the oldest of four children and grew up on a working farm, learning how to milk cows as a teenager. June enjoyed basketball during school and played with the Keota team which won the championship two years in a row. After graduating, Valedictorian of her class, she completed one year of post-graduate work at Keota High School. As a young woman she worked for Lockheed Aircraft Corp. in Burbank, CA. While living in Los Angeles she met and married Malcolm Mark Coburn, and had two children who grew up in Fullerton, CA. Because of June’s cheerful disposition and accepting attitude, people felt comfortable and loved by her. She was a hard working mother and great cook who provided for her family. She worked twenty-one years for Fullerton Unified School District in Food Service, Library and as a Secretarial Typist. June enjoyed exercise and belonged to the Buttons & Bows square dance club. Having met years earlier, God brought a special man into her life. June Coburn married Meinolph Becker in 1975. In her 80’s she was still bowling at Carter Bowl with Meinolph who was is his 90’s. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Meinolph Becker, sister, Winona Speaker, daughter Anita Whitwell and great-grandchild Steven Guillet. She was a precious mother to Maune Coburn and wife Angela, Sony Hatcher and husband Art, Donna Crosby and husband Martin, Anita Whitwell and husband Donald, Carol Baumann and husband Wayne.June is also survived by her beloved sister Alice Johnson and beloved brother Wayne Hart. June has seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Viewing will be May 1st 4-8 pm, Services May 2nd at 12:00 with reception following at Memory Garden Memorial Park & Mortuary, 455 West Central Ave. Brea, CA 92821-3086. June was a loving grandmother to Daniel Coburn, Sarah Coburn, Lauren Coburn, Elias Hatcher, Jeremiah Hatcher, Micheale Walters Hein Keleher, Michael Keleher, Larry P. Walters, Crystal Bolon Walters, Susan Walters, David Whitwell, Kathleen Whitwell, Matthew Whitwell, Christine Whitwell, Michael Baumann, Roberta Baumann, Marina Baumann Guillet. Great-grandmother to Isaiah Hatcher, Seth Hatcher, Naomi Hatcher, Rachel Hatcher, Wren Hatcher, Luke Hatcher, Johnathan Hein, Jennifer Hein, Grant Walters, Trystan Whitwell, Aedan Whitwell, Alec Baumann, Marlene Baumann, Heather Guillet, Steven Guillet, Lauren Guillet. Great-great Grandmother to Kearin Hein.
