Joanne Loya Jeffries

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of JoAnne Loya-Jeffries, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, in Fullerton, California, at the age of 76. Born on August 29, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, to Joseph and Sarah Loya, JoAnne was raised in Norwalk, California, where she built the strong values of faith, family, and hard work that guided her throughout her life. She attended St. Pius X Parish School and graduated from Santa Fe Springs High School in 1967. JoAnne began her career at Zody’s in Norwalk, where she worked from 1969 until the store’s closure in 1986. She then dedicated decades of service to the banking industry, working at First Interstate Bank, Pacific Community Credit Union, and Credit Union of Southern California before retiring in 2025 as a DMV Specialist, helping countless people with care, patience, and professionalism. Above all, JoAnne cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a loyal sister, aunt, and friend. Her warmth, gentle spirit, beautiful smile, and unwavering love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and all whose lives she enriched. Loya and sister-in-law, Suzi Loya; sister, Jeanette Loya; nieces, Erin Moody and Sarah Subia; nephew, Anthony Subia; great-niece, Mara Moody; and great-nephew, Mateo Subia. JoAnne’s family will forever carry her memory with love, gratitude, and the many wonderful moments they shared together. Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.
